Hello, anyone who actually visits at this site! With my second year of University already coming to a end, I plan to post a lot more content on here over the summer and beyond, justifying the cost of this domain name with a big new design project and more articles and reviews (which will likely be just as consistent in terms of content as the rest of this site...). I'll also be updating Screen Vortex in a few more ways once I've worked out what I want to do with it.
Saying that, now that I'm seriously thinking about pursuing a filmmaking career in the future (although still deciding on an area to specialise in), I'll be using it partly as a kind of portfolio for any future projects (and hey, maybe it'll help me get into the industry in some way! Maybe? No..?). I'll soon be writing a blog post about my most recent short film, A Lot In Common, a project I've been working on with a bunch of great people over the last few months. It'll première as part of the Warwick Student Arts Festival later this month, and I'm really excited for people to finally see it! Here are a couple of production stills until then:

Apologies for the self-centeredness of this post, but on a final personal note, at the end of the month I'll be skydiving to raise money for Dementia UK; all the information is on the link below, but it's a great cause, and one which is close to my heart. If anyone would be kind enough to donate any amount, however small, to this very worthy charity, it'd be a massive help in reaching my fundraising target (and well as justifying jumping out of a perfectly functional plane!).
MY FUNDRAISING PAGE
So I just wanted to say thank you, not just for reading this post, but for actually being on this site - it's been live for exactly a year now, and in that time I've had so many more visitors than I'd ever anticipated (largely thanks to a few pieces of artwork going viral, but it's still going with a good daily amount of views). As well as using it for my own writing enjoyment and potentially as a filmmaking journal, I hope at least someone somewhere has found something which interests them on this tiny corner of the internet. So look out for future updates, and you can always follow me on Twitter and Facebook in the meantime!
Oh, and about that job - if you happen to work at the BBC, Marvel, or a big studio and have an open position for ANYTHING from coffee-maker upwards, then please don't hesitate to contact me!
(Worth a shot, right?)
